Mr. Saroj K Mohanty has an overall experience of more than 15 years in areas of Sexual and Reproductive Health, Maternal and Child Health, Nutrition, Adolescent Health and Food Security. Saroj has extensive experience in planning and executing community based randomized controlled trials in India while working with internationally renowned research and academic institutions. He is on the review committee of 3 international medical journals. He holds a Predoctoral degree in Future Studies (gold medallist), Master in Population Studies, and Business Administration (gold medallist). He has also completed Graduate Course in International Community Health from University of Oslo and Basics in Health Economics from World Bank Institute. He was part of the team in institutionalizing the UPCCSP (Uttar Pradesh Comprehensive Child Survival Programme) within the GoUP and worked at the highest levels to influence policy and programmes based on scientific evidence in the fields of menstrual health and food security, particularly in the states of Uttarakhand and Odisha (in the most vulnerable and poverty-stricken districts). He has also worked with the Rajasthan Government for maturing the monitoring & evaluation system of the health department. Saroj has worked in renowned institutions like Xavier Institute of Management, King George’s Medical University – Johns Hopkins School of Public Health Projects (Saksham Study Group), The INCLEN Trust International, Public Health Foundation of India, Population Council, & Ahead Institute of Social & Scientific Research and recently MAMTA.

He is in the advisory panel of Child Health and Nutrition Knowledge Network a prestigious global initiative of Child Health and Nutrition Research Initiative (CHNRI). He is a lifetime member of International Epidemiological Association & Indian Public Health Association and the recipient of the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD) fellowship & The Saving Newborn Lives Initiative (SNL) grant. He has significant number of publications in international peer reviewed journals including The Lancet and has presented papers in various international scientific forums including Global Health Council, WHO workshop, and International Epidemiological Association.
