This module has been developed to facilitate the delivery of high quality integrated maternal and child health services by peer educators to pregnant and lactating mothers. There is a strong evidence linking that mothers poor mental wellbeing has a profound effect on her and her child’s access to MCH services. Therefore, there is an urgent need to evaluate the missing M (Mental Health) in the MCH and to promote interventions (on the mother and the infant) and refine them as appropriate so that they are contextually and firmly grounded in evidence. The module has been prepared for Peer Educators and community outreach workers to improve their psychological wellbeing for improved maternal health outcomes.
